"Signature" Championship Golf
Resplendent in its design, the private par-72 Championship Golf Course provides a premier golfing experience. Designed by master architect, Arthur Hills, it is his only 'Signature' course in Southwest Florida. Totaling 7,400 yards of natural splendor with TifEagle Bermuda greens, it features six sets of tees to challenge players of all levels.
A challenge for all pros and amateurs alike are raving about this 7,400 yards of heaven. Extensive berming and picturesque landing areas overwhelm you with the feeling of total exclusivity. Our 15 acre practice facility includes a driving range, practice fairway bunkers, dedicated chipping green with bunkers, and a 9,000 square foot TifEagle practice green, all maintained year-round to "Signature" course standards.
The name Arthur Hills has become well recognized in the world of golf. To date, there are more than 150 Arthur Hills designed courses in the United States alone. Hills, a past president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects, has designed golf courses for many different golf courses communities, private clubs, resorts, and public golf developments. Arthur Hills is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and in 1999 was elected into prestigious ASLA Class of Fellows.
His firm has been called upon to refine or renovate more than 100 courses including renowned clubs like Oakmont, Inverness, and Oakland Hills. Hills was instrumental in guiding Oakmont and Oakland Hills through several renovation improvements in preparation for their respective U.S. Open Championships in 1994 and 1996. In 1999, Hills completed a major renovation program at Inverness in an effort to position the club to host future championships and prepare it for the 2003 U.S. Senior Open.
Some of Arthur Hills' most recent award-winning courses include Longaberger Golf Club in Hanover, OH which was honored in January 2001 by Golf Digest as America's Best New Upscale Public course for 2000. Lighthouse Sound (Ocean City, MD) and Shepard's Hollow (Clarkston, MI) were also honored by Golf Magazine in their March 2001 issue as two of the "Top 10 Best New Courses of the Year"
Bay Harbor Golf Club in Petoskey, MI was featured as one of Golf Digest's Best New Upscale public Courses for 1999 and is currently ranked #7 in Golf Magazine's Top 100 Public Courses. Other new Arthur Hills designs recently opened include: Gaillardia Golf & Country Club (Oklahoma City, OK), Lowes Island Club-River Course (Sterling, VA), Stonewall Orchard Golf Club (Grayslake, IL), Arthur Hills Course at Boyne Highlands Resort (Harbor Springs, MI), and Camelback Golf Club (Scottsdale, AZ).
In 1995, Collier's Reserve Golf Club (Naples, FL) became the first course in the world to receive Audubon International's "Cooperative Sanctuary Signature" statue. Oitavos Golf Club (Lisbon, Portugal) will become Europe's first Audubon "Gold Signature" golf course when it opens in 2001.
In 1992, Golf Digest honored Arthur Hills by naming The Golf Club of Georgia (Atlanta) and Harbour Pointe Golf Club (Seattle) as the "Best New Private" and "Best New Public" courses of the year. It was the first time a single architect captured both awards in the same year.

In 1999, Arthur Hills promoted long time associate Steve Forrest to partner and renamed the firm Arthur Hills/Steve Forrest and Associates. The firm's reputations rest on their ability to design courses that are playable yet challenging, while created with overriding sense of environmental sensitivity. Hills has stated "We try to build a course that is natural, that relates to the land and doesn't require a tremendous amount of earth moving, always keeping in mind the strategy of the game and the elements that provide beauty in a golf course."
