Promenade Construction Passes Halfway Mark

Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club Building European-Inspired Causeway
MIROMAR LAKES, Fla. - The construction of The Promenade, a European-inspired walkway at Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club, has reached the halfway mark. The Promenade connects the waterfront neighborhoods of Costa Maggiore and Costa del Lago to The Peninsula neighborhoods. The Promenade, inspired by Boulevard La Croisette in Cannes, France, will be a place to stroll, fish, bird watch and dock boats, while offering peaceful views of the community's expansive lakes.
The Promenade, strategically located adjacent to the shoreline of Lake Maggiore, is a pedestrian thoroughfare created as a means of traveling between the various neighborhoods and is an ideal venue for hosting events such as art exhibits. The Promenade includes a variety of seating venues, and future plans may include a boat shuttle between the neighborhoods, the Promenade dockage area, the Beach Clubhouse and the Marina Club. Renowned landscape architect and master planner Taft Bradshaw, of Bradshaw & Associates in Fort Lauderdale, designed the brick-paved causeway, creating a setting architecturally compatible with the existing theme and flavor of this award-winning community.
The landscape comprises an expansive row of uniquely lit palm trees and distinctive vegetation. Plans include an abundance of bougainvillea to add vibrant color. Other elements include decorative paving, enhanced lighting and container gardens.
