MIROMAR LAKES ANNOUNCES 2012 ART ON THE LAKE POSTER WINNER MAUREEN GERRITY

MIROMAR LAKES, FL. –Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club has selected Maureen Gerrity as the 2012 “Art on the Lake” Poster Design Contest winner for its 4th annual art show. Ms. Gerrity will receive $1,000 cash prize for her pastel rendering of Miromar Lakes’ beachside cabanas. Prints of her winning poster will be available for sale at Art on the Lake. The outdoor art show will be held Sunday, January 29, 2012 from 12 to 3 p.m. at Miromar Lakes. Proceeds from poster sales will benefit ARTSPEAK, a program of the Foundation for Lee County Public Schools helping students with autism focus on their strengths using art as a medium for self-expression.
Art on the Lake is held on the waterfront Promenade at Miromar Lakes, featuring local artists whose works are displayed and offered for sale including watercolors, pastels, bronze and glass sculpture, nature photography, outdoor paintings, jewelry, wood turning and many other techniques. Food and beverages will be available for sale and live music will set the mood for this annual show. Trolley shuttle service will be provided from parking locations. The event is free and open to the public.

Take exit 123 off I-75, turn right onto Corkscrew Road and drive a half mile east past Miromar Design Center and Miromar Outlets to Ben Hill Griffin Parkway. Turn left and continue 2.8 miles north to Miromar Lakes. From the north, exit 128 off I-75 and turn left onto Alico Road. Turn right at Ben Hill Griffin Parkway and proceed south for 1 mile.
